Maricopa, AZ – The authorities have released the name of a motorcycle rider who was killed after colliding with another vehicle at an intersection in Maricopa on Friday, October 31, at about 7:00 p.m.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased rider as Demetry Quiruz, a 19-year-old Maricopa resident.

Investigators said Quiruz was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Smith-Enke Road when he ran a red light at the intersection with Poter Road and collided with a westbound Tesla.

Quiruz was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died.

The Tesla driver was not intoxicated at the time of the crash, Maricopa police said.

The incident remains under investigation.

Maricopa, AZ – One person was killed Friday evening in a motorcycle accident in Maricopa, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 7:00 p.m. on October 31 at the intersection of Smith-Enke Road and Porter Road.

Police said a motorcycle collided with a sedan.

The impact caused the motorcyclist to be ejected.

The rider succumbed to their injuries in the ambulance en route to the hospital.
