David Serna Fatally Injured in El Cajon Accident on North Johnson Avenue
El Cajon, CA – The San Diego County Coroner's Office has identified a pedestrian killed in a crash around mid-last month in El Cajon as 75-year-old David Serna of La Mesa.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident at around 7:21 p.m. on February 12 in the 700 block of North Johnson Avenue.
Serna was walking across the street when he was struck by a northbound Volkswagen sedan for unknown reasons.
Serna was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, where his level of health continued to decline until death was pronounced on 03/02/2025.
No further information about the incident was reported.
