A Honda was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Cedar Avenue when it slammed into the rear of a Chevy Impala near the intersection

Fresno, CA.- A woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Central Fresno early Sunday morning, according to the authorities.
The incident took place on Cedar and McKinley avenues at about 1:45 a.m.
A Honda was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Cedar Avenue when it slammed into the rear of a Chevy Impala near the intersection.
A passenger in Chevy was pronounced deceased at the scene. She was identified as Crystal Barrera, 30.
The man driving the Chevy sustained serious injuries while the Honda driver had moderate injuries.
Both drivers were transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the Honda was also arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
