Santa Cruz County, CA. – 68-year-old Craig Smith has been identified as the motorcyclist who died in a collision last month in Santa Cruz County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 9:41 a.m. on December 18, on Soquel San Jose Road near Old Turnpike Road.
Smith was riding a blue 2012 BMW motorcycle southbound on Soquel San Jose Road when he collided with a northbound 2023 Subaru Forester with two passengers and three dogs on board.
Smith was wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Subaru was uninjured.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
