Colville, WA – Several people were injured in a collision between two vehicles on US 395 near Colville in Stevens County on Saturday morning, according to a report by the Washington State Patrol.
The incident took place near Hall Road and Arden Hill Road, approximately five miles south of Colville shortly before 9:45 a.m. January 24.
According to the authorities, a Colville woman was driving westbound on Hall Road when she tried to cross US 395 to Arden Hill Road and entered the path of a truck traveling on the highway. The woman failed to yield and her vehicle was struck on the right side by the truck.
Both vehicles came to a rest on the shoulder of the highway after the collision.
The Washington State Patrol troopers and emergency crews arrived shortly after and assisted at the scene.
Seven people in the first vehicle were transported to hospital with unspecified injuries. Authorities reported that the victims' ages range between 9 months and 19 years.
It's unclear whether anyone else was hurt in the crash. The Washington State Patrol is investigating to ascertain the cause of the collision.
