Cochise County, AZ– One person was killed and others were hurt when a driver failed to yield while making a turn on Highway 92 and collided with another vehicle on Wednesday afternoon in Cochise County, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The accident happened on Highway 92 at about 4:44 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, and involved a Mazda Miata and a Toyota Sienna.
The AZDPS reported that the Mazda was trying to make a left turn on Highway 92 when the driver failed to yield to the Toyota. The driver of the Toyota was traveling east on the highway and collided with the turning vehicle.
The driver of the Mazda was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver's identity was not immediately released. A passenger in the Mazda was flown to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the Toyota were treated for minor injuries.
There were no additional details on the accident. The AZDPS is investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
