Clackamas County, OR – One person was killed and another seriously injured after a head-on crash between two vehicles on Highway 212 Tuesday morning, according to the Oregon State Police (OSP).
The crash occurred on Highway 212 near milepost 4 at approximately 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
OSP's preliminary investigation indicated Teresa Ann Castello, 67, of Boring, was driving a Subaru Crosstrek eastbound on Highway 212 when she crossed the centerline for unknown reasons and traveled into the path of a westbound Ford Bronco operated by Ashley Elaine Pinion, 32, also of Boring, resulting in a head-on collision.
Castello was declared deceased at the scene. Pinion suffered serious injuries in the collision and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. No arrests were reported in connection with the crash.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation by Oregon State Police, and troopers continue to examine the circumstances that led to the impact.
OSP troopers and assisting agencies, including the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Clackamas Fire, and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), responded to the scene and conducted the on-scene investigation.
Traffic on Highway 212 was impacted for approximately two hours as emergency personnel worked to secure the area and manage the investigation, resulting in travel delays for motorists.
The fatal Clackamas County crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine any contributing factors.
