Investigations revealed that a 16-year-old girl driving a Subaru Impreza pulled onto southbound Highway 26 and failed to yield to a Ford Focus

Clackamas County, OR – A man was killed in a collision involving a 16-year-old driver in Clackamas County on Friday afternoon.
According to a report by the Oregon State Police, the crash happened at around 2:45 p.m. May 29, on Highway 26 near NE Weber Road.
Investigations revealed that a 16-year-old girl driving a Subaru Impreza pulled onto southbound Highway 26 and failed to yield to a Ford Focus.
The Ford rear-ended the Subaru, and the impact pushed the Subaru into the eastbound side, where it collided head-on with a U-Haul moving truck.
OSP and emergency crews responded to the site of the collision shortly after and helped those involved.
The operator of the Ford was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver was identified as Briande Boudreau Lybbert, 39, of Portland.
A passenger in the U-Haul was treated for minor injuries.
According to the report, the teenage driver of the Subaru was cited for careless driving.
The OSP is still conducting an investigation into the incident.
