Citrus Heights, CA – Authorities are investigating after a bicyclist was struck and injured by a vehicle near an intersection in Citrus Heights on Friday Morning.
The crash, according to the Citrus Heights Police Department, transpired in the area near Greenback Lane and Auburn Boulevard just after 11 a.m. June 19.
Police reported that an adult male was riding a bicycle when he collided with a vehicle that was exiting a parking lot. The exact circumstances of the accident were yet to be established.
The rider of the bicycle sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The involved driver was unhurt and was at the scene when authorities arrived. The identities of the driver and the bicyclist were not immediately released.
