Christian Juarez Killed, 3 Injured in Head-on Crash on East Bear Mountain Boulevard in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, CA – The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating a deadly head-on collision that left a 28-year-old man dead and three other people injured on East Bear Mountain Boulevard in Bakersfield early Wednesday morning.
The deadly crash happened at around 12:45 a.m. East Bear Mountain Boulevard, east of Adobe Road.
According to investigators, a 2005 Toyota Sienna, operated by a 76-year-old man, was traveling westbound on East Bear Mountain Boulevard, east of Adobe Road, at an unknown speed.
At the same time, a 2017 Toyota Corolla, operated by Christian Jesus Juarez, 28, Â of Arvin, was heading eastbound on East Bear Mountain Boulevard, east of Adobe Road, at an unknown speed.
For some reason, the Sienna crossed into the eastbound lane, coming directly in the path of the Corolla. The two vehicles collided head-on within the eastbound lane of East Bear Mountain Boulevard.
The driver of the Corolla, Christian Juarez, was killed in the crash. Two passengers in the Corolla were transported to Kern Medical with serious injuries. The Sienna driver was also taken to Kern Medical with moderate injuries.
No additional information was provided.
The crash is under investigation.
