Investigators believe Bratcher was crossing McDowell mid-block outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a pickup truck traveling westbound.
Phoenix, CA. – 49-year-old Chad Bratcher died after being struck by a pickup truck Monday evening near an intersection in Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the incident occurred just before 7:30 p.m. on McDowell Road near 51st Avenue.
Investigators believe Bratcher was crossing McDowell mid-block outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a pickup truck traveling westbound.
The pedestrian died from the injuries he suffered in the accident.
The driver of the truck stopped and remained at the scene.
Phoenix PD's Vehicular Crimes Unit is handling the investigation.
