According to CHP, a Ford Mustang traveling south on Lakeville Highway crossed the double yellow lines in an attempt to pass a Toyota Highlander and collided head-on with an oncoming Honda HR-V

Petaluma, CA – The passenger who was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Petaluma late last month has been identified as Carolina Guzman Sierra, 46, of Vallejo, according to the Sonoma County Coroner's Office.
The deadly crash happened at around 6 a.m. October 26, on Lakeville Highway, just south of Old Lakeville Road.
According to CHP, a Ford Mustang traveling south on Lakeville Highway crossed the double yellow lines in an attempt to pass a Toyota Highlander and collided head-on with an oncoming Honda HR-V.
The Toyota was also impacted on the left side and it spun off the roadway.
Sierra was a passenger in the Honda and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Honda was transported to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries.
The six parties riding in the Toyota were not hurt.
The driver of the Ford, Jesus Garcia, 24, of Vallejo, was transported with major injuries.
He was also arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
The accident is under investigation by the CHP.
