Brandon Aranda ID'd as Man Killed in Chino Crash on 60 Freeway near Mountain Avenue

Chino, California (September 4, 2021) – The San Bernardino County Coroner's Bureau has identified the man who died last week on Thursday following a multi-vehicle crash in Chino as Brandon Sanchez Aranda, 26, of Bloomington.
The tragic wreck occurred at about 7:43 a.m. Thursday, August 26, on the 60 Freeway, just east of Mountain Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said a 2013 Mazda was traveling eastbound on the 60 Freeway when, for unknown reasons, it collided with a 2017 Ford that was in the number three lane of the freeway.
The Ford then drifted to the left and hit a 1997 Ford that was in the carpool lane, driven by Aranda.
Due to the impact, the 1997 Ford rolled over multiple times before it came to a stop within the number two lane of the eastbound 60.
Man Killed in 60 Freeway Crash Identified
Aranda was ejected onto the roadway and died at the scene.
Caltrans responded and closed all eastbound lanes at the scene. A sweeper also responded to clear debris from the crash and nails that were scattered across traffic lanes.
All lanes were reopened at 10:46 a.m.
