Police reported that a 63-year-old Oakland man was riding an electric bike southbound on Miller Avenue when he collided with a Ford SUV traveling east on 16th Street

Oakland, CA.- A bicyclist was struck and injured by a vehicle in Oakland on Friday night, according to the Oakland Police Department.
The incident took place near 16th Street and Miller Avenue at about 6:20 p.m. September 25.
Police reported that a 63-year-old Oakland man was riding an electric bike southbound on Miller Avenue when he collided with a Ford SUV traveling east on 16th Street.
The bike rider then collided with a Honda sedan heading west on 16th Street.
The bicyclist was rushed to a hospital with severe injuries.
Both drivers involved in the accident remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
