Discovery Bay, CA – A bicycle rider was killed in a traffic collision Friday night on Highway 4 in Discovery Bay.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the grisly wreck was reported at around 10:33 p.m. on State Route 4 at Newport Drive.
A silver van collided with a bicycle in the area for unknown reasons.
The bicyclist was rushed to Kaiser Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
No additional information about the mishap was available.
The incident remains under investigation.
