Redlands, CA.- A bicyclist was injured in a traffic collision in Redlands on Wednesday night, according to a report by the Redlands Police Department.

The incident happened on Orange Street near the Santa Ana River wash at about 11 p.m. August 20.

A 71-year-old man was reportedly riding a bicycle when he was hit by a 2013 Honda Civic.

The rider was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries including broken bones, abrasions, and internal injuries.

The driver of the Honda stayed at the scene and was not suspected of impairment.

The accident is under investigation.
