Deputies and paramedics responded around 9:30 p.m. October 5 to the 8500 block of Troy Street, near Camino De Las Palma, after reports of a severe crash.
Lemon Grove, CA. – A bicyclist died Sunday night following a collision with a pickup truck on Troy Street in Lemon Grove, according to the Lemon Grove Sheriff’s Substation.
Deputies and paramedics responded around 9:30 p.m. October 5 to the 8500 block of Troy Street, near Camino De Las Palma, after reports of a severe crash.
The responders found the bicyclist lying on the eastbound lane.
Paramedics offered life-saving measures and transported the rider to the hospital.
The victim, however, succumbed to their injuries at the hospital around 10:30 p.m.
Authorities said DUI and reckless driving are not suspected to be contributing factors.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
