Baldwin Park, CA. – A box-truck driver was rescued Tuesday morning after crashing into the back of a big rig on the eastbound 10 Freeway near Puente Avenue, shutting down all eastbound lanes for more than an hour, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The man was successfully pulled out and appeared conscious before being transported to a hospital. Details about his condition were not released.
All eastbound lanes were initially closed during the rescue and cleanup. By about 7 a.m., at least three lanes had reopened as crews continued clearing the scene.
