Bakersfield, CA.- A bicyclist who was hit and injured by a vehicle in south Bakersfield earlier this month later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on November 17, on Belle Terrace near Butler Road.
Authorities reported that Ruben Diza Agbayani, 81, was riding a three-wheel bicycle in the area when a white Mercedes-Benz passing by struck him.
Agbayani sustained critical injuries and was taken to Kern Medical, where he succumbed to his injuries on November 22.
The driver of the Mercedes stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. The accident is under investigation.
