According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 5:58 a.m. in the 11431 block of Foothill Road.
A vehicle allegedly veered off the roadway into a ditch for an unknown reason.
Firefighters and paramedics responded and pronounced one person dead at the scene.
The roadway was closed during the investigation.
