El Cajon, CA. – At least one person was injured following a two-vehicle accident on Monday night in El Cajon, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident happened at around 8:21 p.m. on eastbound 8 Freeway, just east of El Cajon Boulevard.
Police said two vehicles collided for reasons yet to be determined. One of the vehicles overturned trapping the driver inside.
The driver was conscious and breathing after the accident.
The female driver of the second vehicle was riding with 2 kids who complained of pain to the head after the crash. The two were treated for minor injuries.
A SigAlert was issued closing all lanes at around 8:39 p.m. The SigAlert was canceled and the roadway re-opened as of 9:22 p.m.
No other information concerning this crash was released.
An investigation is underway.
