According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a car was traveling eastbound on I-10 when it was struck from behind by a second vehicle

Phoenix, AZ– The child who was killed in a crash with a hit-and-run driver in west Phoenix on Sunday night has been identified as Armyah Mixon, 6, according to the authorities.
The collision happened just before 8 p.m. October 5, on Interstate 10 near 67th Avenue.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a car was traveling eastbound on I-10 when it was struck from behind by a second vehicle.
The impact sent the rear-ended vehicle off the roadway and it slammed into the concrete median wall.
Armyah was riding as a passenger in the rear-ended car and was killed in the crash.
Another child in the same car, Armyah's 4-year-old sister, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the truck fled the scene after the crash but was later located and arrested at a nearby gas station.
The suspect was identified as Turatsinze Gadi.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
