Antelope, CA – Injuries were reported in a collision involving a big rig at an intersection in Antelope early Thursday morning.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the wreck took place at about 4:36 a.m. July 9, on Walerga and Elverta roads.

The driver of the pickup was transported to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The driver was later arrested on suspicion of DUI following the accident.
Hazardous materials were reportedly spilled from the big rig and crews shut down the northbound lanes of Walerga Road as they cleared the scene.
