Alameda County, CA – One person was killed Friday after a dump truck and a gold sedan collided on Mountain House Road between Byron and Tracy, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash was reported at approximately 12:04 p.m. on Mountain House Road near Grant Line Road, south of the Mountain House and Grant Line junction.
CHP dispatch logs indicate the collision involved a dump truck and a gold sedan. The impact ejected the sedan’s female occupant. Responding crews found the woman on the roadside. The victim died from injuries sustained in the collision. Authorities had not released the person’s identity.
The circumstances leading to the crash have not been determined, and no information regarding injuries to the dump truck driver or any arrests was available.
The collision forced the closure of both directions of Mountain House Road, with northbound traffic later shut down as investigators processed the scene.
