7 Students Injured in Yuba City Crash at Walton Avenue and Cherry Street

Yuba City, CA. – Seven students were injured in a collision involving a school bus on Tuesday morning in Yuba City.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near the intersection of Walton Avenue and Cherry Street at around 8 a.m.

A gray sedan traveling north was waiting for traffic to clear to turn left on Cherry Street when a gray SUV stopped for the sedan.

A school bus couldn’t stop in time and allegedly rear-ended the SUV, pushing it into the sedan.

CHP said seven students were taken to the hospital for “precautionary measures.”

None of the three occupants of the SUV was injured.

Additional information about the accident was not provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
