Oakland, CA. – Five bus passengers were injured in a collision involving an AC Transit bus Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Oakland.
The incident was reported around 12:35 p.m. at 16th Avenue and International Boulevard.
According to Oakland police, the driver of a southbound car drove into a “bus only” lane and attempted to make an illegal U-turn when they collided with an AC Transit bus.
The driver fled the scene after the crash.
Five passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries. The bus driver and the rest of the passengers were not hurt.
Authorities are looking for the hit-and-run suspect.
