A Ford Mustang and a motorcycle were racing on Rio Salado Parkway when the Mustang missed a turn and crashed

Tempe, AZ.- Several people were injured in a single-vehicle accident in Tempe on Monday night, according to the authorities.
The incident took place on Rio Salado Parkway near Scottsdale Road, at about 8:30 p.m. September 1.
According to the report, a Ford Mustang and a motorcycle were racing on Rio Salado Parkway when the Mustang missed a turn and crashed.
The five occupants of the Mustang were ejected from the vehicle.
The five were transported to a hospital with critical injuries.
The motorcyclist involved in the street race reportedly returned to the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
