Whitewater, CA. – Three people were hospitalized after a big rig accident that happened Monday evening in Whitewater, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 5:51 p.m. on the westbound 10 Freeway near State Route 62.
A sedan collided with a semi-truck under unclear circumstances. The sedan overturned onto its roof, but no one was trapped.
Three occupants in the sedan were taken to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The car was occupied by a baby, but it was unclear if it was injured.
CHP officers are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
