The wreck occurred around 12:42 p.m. on Highway 246, also known as Mission Drive, at Alamo Pintado Road.

Solvang, CA. – Three people were injured, one severely, in a traffic collision that happened Monday afternoon at an intersection in Solvang.
The wreck occurred around 12:42 p.m. on Highway 246, also known as Mission Drive, at Alamo Pintado Road.
A car occupied by a woman and another occupied by a man and a woman were involved in the accident under unclear circumstances.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the scene and found the female driver trapped inside the wreckage.
The driver was extricated from the car and transported by an American Medical Response ambulance to the Santa Ynez Airport. She was then airlifted by a helicopter to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with critical injuries.
The man and woman in the other car were transported by ground ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with moderate injuries.
Traffic lanes in the area were not closed despite the seriousness of the collision.
Authorities are investigating the crash.
