Sacramento, CA. – Three people, including an infant, were hospitalized after a car struck pedestrians Wednesday evening near an intersection in South Sacramento.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the incident was reported just before 6:30 p.m. near Center Parkway and Pomegranate Avenue.

Authorities said a vehicle struck pedestrians under unclear circumstances, leaving a woman, a child, and an infant with complaints of pain.

The patients were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police said impairment did not appear to be a factor.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
