Sacramento, CA. – Multiple people were injured in a collision that happened in North Highlands on Saturday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near the intersection of Laurelview and Walnut Avenues at around 11:29 a.m.

A sedan was traveling on Walnut when the driver made an unsafe lane change and hit a pickup truck.

The impact sent the pickup truck off the roadway where it hit a power pole.

Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District firefighters had to extricate the truck driver from the vehicle.

The truck driver and two occupants of the car were taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
