According to the California Highway Patrol, Reynoso was driving a sedan at an unknown speed when it veered into the divider and ricocheted off the concrete barrier, ejecting Stainbrook into the eastbound lanes.

Jurupa Valley, CA. – 41-year-old Jillian Reynoso of Hemet and 40-year-old Christopher Stainbrook of Jurupa Valley died when their vehicle crashed off the Pomona (60) Freeway in Jurupa Valley, authorities reported.
The accident occurred just before 5 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the freeway at Country Village Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Reynoso was driving a sedan at an unknown speed when it veered into the divider and ricocheted off the concrete barrier, ejecting Stainbrook into the eastbound lanes.
The vehicle continued across all lanes and went down a shallow embankment before sliding into a business parking lot at 3810 Wabash Drive, where it crashed into an unoccupied parked box truck.
Responding Riverside County Fire Department paramedics pronounced Stainbrook dead on the freeway.
Reynoso was pronounced dead inside the car.
Investigators closed all eastbound lanes of the freeway for about two hours.
