Northridge, CA. – One person was injured in a car accident involving a suspect on a police pursuit Tuesday morning at an intersection in Northridge, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
The incident took place around 7 a.m. at Balboa Boulevard and Nordhoff Street.
According to LAPD, police officers initiated a police chase targeting a parole violation suspect spotted near Gresham Street and Darby Avenue.
The pursuit was called off later after the suspect started driving at dangerous speeds.
Several minutes later, the suspect collided with other vehicles at Balboa Boulevard and Nordhoff Street.
The driver reportedly attempted to run away from the scene but was apprehended by police officers.
Two people sustained unspecified injuries in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
