2 LAPD Officers Injured After Pursuit Suspect Slams into Patrol Vehicle in Vermont Square

Around 12:10 a.m., LAPD officers spotted a recklessly driving car speeding without lights in the area of West 41st Street and South Figueroa Street and started a chase.

, CA. – Two LAPD officers were injured when a pursuit suspect slammed into their patrol vehicle early Tuesday morning at an intersection in Vermont Square.

Around 12:10 a.m., LAPD officers spotted a recklessly driving car speeding without lights in the area of West 41st Street and South Figueroa Street and started a chase.

The pursuit ended a short time later when the suspect crashed into an uninvolved LAPD car at West 42nd Street and Hoover Street.

Two officers in the patrol vehicle were hospitalized with minor injuries.

The suspect was not hurt and was arrested at the scene.

West 42nd Street and Hoover Street remained closed for several hours during the investigation.
