An SUV was traveling westbound when it crashed into a tractor-trailer that was backing into the parking lot
California City, CA. – Two people were killed in a car crash that occurred in California City on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the California City Police Department, the accident happened in the 9500 block of California City Boulevard near Hacienda Boulevard at around 4:40 p.m.
A Subaru Outback was found pinned underneath the truck's trailer. Police say the SUV was traveling westbound when it crashed into the tractor-trailer that was backing into the parking lot of Family Dollar.
Two occupants of the SUV were pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
