A 72-year-old man was driving a Madera Unified District school bus north on Road 26 when he failed to yield to the right-of-way and the bus was hit on its right front by a truck

Madera County, CA.- Two people were injured in a collision between a school bus and a truck in Madera County on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on Avenue 12 and Road 26 at about 12:10 p.m.
According to CHP, a 72-year-old man was driving a Madera Unified District school bus north on Road 26 when he failed to yield to the right-of-way and the bus was hit on its right front by a truck heading west on Avenue 12.
The driver of the bus was transported to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
The other driver, a 58-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
