La Mesa, CA. – A driver was injured, and another was arrested after a DUI accident that happened Wednesday night at an intersection in La Mesa.
According to authorities, the accident took place around 11:19 p.m. at Massachusetts Avenue and University Avenue.
Police said a 33-year-old San Diego man was driving a black Acura sedan when he collided with a silver Chevrolet sedan.
The driver of the Acura was taken to Sharp Grossmont Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was also arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
The driver of the Chevrolet suffered minor injuries but declined transport to the hospital.
The drivers were the only occupants in the cars.
The La Mesa Police Department is investigating the incident.
