Sacramento, CA. — Two people were hospitalized Thursday morning after their vehicle crashed into Rosa Parks Middle School in Sacramento, authorities reported.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, officers responded to the scene just after 7 a.m. near 68th Avenue and Tamoshanter Way.

The two occupants of the vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital and are expected to survive.

The Sacramento Fire Department said crews assessed the building’s structural integrity and determined that only cosmetic damage occurred, including scorch marks on the exterior walls.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
