Modesto, CA. – Two drivers died when their vehicles collided head-on early Thursday morning on Highway 132 in Modesto.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck was reported around 3 a.m. near Hart Road.
Investigators said a white sedan was traveling west on Highway 132, and a black sedan was heading east when, for an unknown reason, the white sedan crossed into the eastbound side and collided head-on with the other car.
The white sedan ended up on the north shoulder, and the black sedan stopped along the south shoulder.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities did not immediately determine the factors that contributed to the accident but an investigation is ongoing.
