According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 11:13 p.m. on Los Banos Highway, also known as Highway 59, just south of East Washington Road.
Merced County, CA. – One person died in a two-vehicle collision that happened Sunday night near El Nido in Merced County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 11:13 p.m. on Los Banos Highway, also known as Highway 59, just south of East Washington Road.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident. One of them reportedly went off the roadway after the first impact.
Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked both northbound and southbound lanes of the highway.
One person was killed in the crash.
It was unclear if any other person was injured.
Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.
CHP officers are investigating the accident.
