1 Person Killed in Car Accident on 280 Freeway in Daly City - Archived post

The wreck was reported to authorities around 10:47 p.m. on the northbound 280 Freeway near State Route 1.

Daly City, CA. – The California Highway Patrol says one person was killed in a traffic accident that took place Thursday night in Daly City.

The wreck was reported to authorities around 10:47 p.m. on the northbound 280 Freeway near State Route 1.

CHP officers and Daly City firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and found a white Honda Hatchback and another car involved in the crash.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:05 p.m.

It was not clear if anyone else was injured.

The Animal Control Unit was requested to respond for a dog that was involved in the crash.

All northbound lanes of I-280 south of Eastmoor Avenue were blocked following the collision.

Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.

CHP officers are investigating the accident.
