Rancho Cucamonga, CA. – One person died in a multi-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck that happened Tuesday night in Rancho Cucamonga.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pileup took place around 10:12 p.m. on the southbound 15 Freeway near Foothill Boulevard.
Authorities said a 4-door sedan slammed into the back of a semi-truck under unclear circumstances.
A white Chevrolet van was also involved in the collision.
The sedan was wedged underneath the semi-truck with an occupant inside.
The victim died in the crash.
CHP officers, firefighters, and the San Bernardino County Coroner responded to the scene.
Multiple lanes of the freeway were shut down to allow crews to extricate the body and remove the vehicles from the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
