A driver was traveling in the wrong direction before it collided with another vehicle

Whitewater, CA. – One person was killed in a wrong-way crash that left three others injured on Friday morning in Whitewater.
According to a California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 10 Freeway near the Whitewater Rest Area.
A driver was traveling in the wrong direction before it collided with another vehicle.
One person was killed in the accident, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office.
Three people were transported to Desert Regional Medical Hospital.
Two of the patients had serious injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
