Riverside County, CA.- One person was killed in a suspected DUI collision in Riverside County on Saturday evening, according to a report by the Riverside Police Department.
The incident took place in the area of Collett Avenue and Stonewall Drive shortly before 6:30 p.m. January 4.
According to police, a 75-year-old Riverside woman was driving a white 2005 Jeep Liberty east on Collett Avenue when she slowed down to make a turn onto Stonewall Drive and was rear-ended by a Toyota Tundra.
The Jeep then collided head-on with an oncoming red 2014 Toyota C-HR operated by a 70-year-old man from Riverside.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to Riverside Community Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The conditions of the other two motorists involved in the crash were not specified.
The driver of the Toyota, a 38-year-old man from Norco, was arrested for DUI and was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
No further details were released.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
