The crash happened on SE 216th Street shortly after 1 a.m. October 7.
According to the authorities, a motorcycle with two riders was traveling on SE 216th Street when it crashed.
The motorcycle is suspected to have collided with a deer.
One of the riders was pronounced deceased at the scene while the second was taken to Harborview Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
The roadway was shut down for hours as authorities investigated the incident.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
