Santa Maria, CA.- One person was killed in a motorcycle collision in Santa Maria early Friday morning, according to the Santa Maria Police Department.
The crash happened at about 1:00 a.m. on Donovan Road and Western Avenue.
The police reported that a 33-year-old man riding a motorcycle west on Donovan Road may have been traveling at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a vehicle that was making a left turn onto Donovan Road from Western Avenue.
The motorcyclist, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the site of the collision.
The other driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The accident is under investigation.
