One person killed in collision on Highway 41 and Road 209 in Madera

Madera, CA. – One person was killed in a car accident that occurred in Madera County on Sunday morning.
At around 9 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a car accident on Highway 41 and Road 209.
A man was driving a Honda southbound on the highway when a Chevy Cobalt traveling north went into the left turn lane and pulled in front of the Honda, resulting in a collision.
The Chevy driver was killed in the accident.
Authorities determined he was not wearing a seatbelt.
The Honda driver was transported to hospital with moderate injuries.
