Tracy, CA.- One person was killed in a head-on collision in Tracy early Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on Highway 4 near Tracy Boulevard at about 12:30 a.m.
A Ford F-250 was heading west on Highway 4 when it swerved across the double yellow lines and collided head-on with a westbound Jeep Compass, according to the report.
The driver of the Jeep was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other driver was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
The CHP report indicates that the operator of the Ford was suspected to have been driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
