A sedan was traveling on the freeway when it crashed into a big rig stopped on the right-hand shoulder

Sacramento, CA. – One person was killed in a fiery car crash on Tuesday morning near Walnut Grove in Sacramento County.
At around 8:31 a.m., the California Highway Patrol and emergency medical services responded to reports of a car crash on northbound Interstate 5 south of Twin Cities Road.
A sedan was traveling on the freeway when it crashed into a big rig that was stopped on the right-hand shoulder.
The big rig's trailer and the sedan caught fire after the collision.
The sedan driver was killed in the accident.
The driver of the big rig was unhurt. It was unclear if the driver was inside the big rig at the time of the crash.
