According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on southbound 5 Freeway near Highway 73 at around 3:42 p.m.
Three vehicles including a white truck and a dark-colored sedan were involved in the accident. However, the report did not disclose the events leading up to the accident.
CHP says one person was killed in the accident.
